Mission de Taiwan
In October 2001, VeriSign selected Geneva, Switzerland for the home of its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Headquarters activities. In addition to Geneva's reputation as a city at the center of business and technology, VeriSign chose to locate its EMEA Headquarters in Geneva because of its technical infrastrcure, overall economic benefits, and its central location within Europe, Middle East and Africa. The new base enables VeriSign to coordinate operations centrally, to the benefit of their costumers, channel partners and affiliates. After looking at eight sites in and around Geneva, the selection was quickly narrowed to two sites that included the Blandonnet International Business Center (BIBC). BIBC was selected for the EMEA Headquarters site because of: - proximity to public transportation services; VeriSign has several hundred thousand square feet of leased office space around the world. While I haven't been involved in the negotiations and relationship management for all locations, compared to those I have been involved with or told about, the lease negotiations with CGS have been the easiest to work through. In fact, "negotiations" is probably an improper choice of words; it turned out to be more a series of discussions. The attention to detail and the CGS competitive (but fair), results-oriented style, conducted in a highly professional manner is second to none. I am grateful for the professional courtesies extended to the VeriSign team while finalizing our lease arrangement with CGS. Subsequent to signing the lease, we were delighted to also have been exposed to the general contractor services of Induni. Their solid working relationship between CGS and Induni provided a solid foundation for a quick, efficient and quality set of leasehold impovements for our leased space. Thank you for providing a very pleasant real estate leasing experience - from conducting very fair and professional lease negotiations, to facilitating the establishment of temporary office space, to constant communications through the build-out of the space while the building was being completed, to a general ongoing concern over our satisfaction with the space. I will never forget this very positive experience and I will be extremely fortunate if I ever come across a similar efficient process outside of Geneva. John W. Schoof
